Last week I blasted the Denver Classroom Teachers Association leadership for rejecting what seems like a pretty generous offer frm Denver Public Schols to deal with the ProComp teacher pay system surplus. In the interest of fairness, here is the DCTA’s response to the district proposal. As a layman, I find it difficult to understand and I will leave it to greater minds than mine to decipher it.
Meanwhile, a splinter group of teachers has formed, and is posting information from both sites on its website. The group has also started a blog. This is an encouraging development. When the word strike is in the air, it’s time to get serious.
Further, to stay abreast of the DCTA’s positions, read President Kim Ursetta’s blog.
